2. Arkansas restaurant offering discounts to combat inflation
   A Little Rock business, Three Fold, has begun giving a 10% discount on all purchases. The general manager states that the restaurant wants to show appreciation for its customers by lightening the load on their wallets. (KARK 4)

3. Nancy Pelosi's husband "violently assaulted" at home
   Paul Pelosi, the husband of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, was attacked early Friday morning after an assailant broke into the couple's San Francisco home. This incident has raised many questions about the safety of US Congress members and their families. Paul is expected to make a full recovery. (USA TODAY)

4. Malaysian religious officers break up LGBT Halloween party
   Late Saturday night, Malaysia's Islamic religious officers raided a large Halloween party in Kuala Lumpur with around 1,000 LGBTQ+ participants. 20 Muslims were arrested for offenses of cross-dressing and supposedly encouraging vice. In Malaysia, homosexuality is forbidden. (Bangkok Post)

5. SAU Volleyball stomps UAM
   The SAU Lady Muleriders Volleyball Team experienced a 3-1 victory over UAM on Oct. 25. This was SAU's sixth victory of the season, and it now stands 6-8 overall and 4-9 in league play. Landry Rogers and Anna Crittenden each recorded kills in the double digits. (Magnolia Reporter)

6. Elon Musk named new head of Twitter Multi-billionaire Elon Musk has now completed the purchase of the social media platform Twitter. Musk vowed that he will take measures to prevent the platform from becoming a "free-for-all hellscape." (NBC News)

7. Taylor Swift announces new international tour
   Superstar Taylor Swift announced on the Good Morning America show that she will be heading out on her "The Eras Tour" in the spring and summer of 2023. Swift's new album "Midnights" received over 1 million US album sales in its first week alone, and all 10 songs made the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100. (E! News)

8. Trick-or-treating off-limits in Detroit suburb after roach infestation
   Officials in Wyandotte, Michigan closed down the sidewalks Halloween night on a portion of 20th Street after a cockroach infestation was discovered at a vacant home. The city implemented the ban to prevent "further roach migration." (AP News)

9. Monticello Police investigating a shooting incident
   The Monticello Police Department is investigating a trailer park shooting that cost the life of one Warren man. Police responded to a shots fired call on Saturday, October 22 and discovered 25-year-old Jkyron Marquis Hines dead at the scene. (Advance-Monticellonian)
   
   
   

10. 3 arrested for disrupting Supreme Court Roe v. Wade Arguments
    Three demonstrators were arrested Wednesday after disrupting a Supreme Court argument with a protest about the reversal of Roe v. Wade. The protestors, later identified as Emily Paterson, Nikki Enfield, and Ronalde Baker, have been charged with violating a law that forbids making a "harangue or oration" in the Supreme Court building and demonstrating with the intent to disrupt the administration of justice. (CBS News)
    
    
    

11. Tensions between North and South Korea escalate; missiles fired on both sides
    North Korea recently began launching missiles into the waters off the coast of South Korea, one of which crossed over the Northern Limit Line. The South has responded to these attacks by launching missiles of its own. 12. Miss Argentina and Miss Puerto Rico reveal their marriage
    Former Miss Argentina Mariana Varela and former Miss Puerto Rico Fabiola Valentin are now married. The couple confirmed their relationship and announced their marriage in an Instagram Reel posted on November 2nd. 13. Belarus President gifts Putin a tractor for his birthday
    President Alexander Lukashenko of Belarus presented Russian President Vladimir Putin with a gift certificate for a tractor for his 70th birthday. Tractors have been the pride of industry in Belarus ever since the 90s when the country was under Soviet control. (AP News)
    
    
    

14. Migos rapper Takeoff fatally shot in Houston
    Takeoff, a member of the popular rap group Migos, was shot outside of a Houston bowling alley on November 2nd. The rapper received gunshot wounds in the head and torso into the arm. This incident has been ruled as a homicide. (People Magazine)
    
    
    

15. 'Boogaloo Boi' arrested after threatening federal agents
    Aron McKillips, an Ohio extremist belonging to the group the "Boogaloo Bois" has been arrested after threatening to kill federal agents and make attacks on the IRS and White House. McKillips has faced several charges in the past such as unlawful possession of a machine gun and interstate communication of threats. (NBC News)
